•      Invitation to attend and assist in the Workshop “Charred Document Collection, Analysis, and Preservation” at the Southern Association of Forensic Scientists (SAFS), Midwestern Association of Forensic Scientists (MAFS), Mid-Atlantic Association of Forensic Scientists (MAAFS), and Southwestern Association of Forensic Scientists (SWAFS) Joint Meeting with FBI Lab, Quantico, personnel on Oct. 18 - 23, 2009 in Orlando, Fla. Mr. Weldon also presented other research involving indented impressions at the meeting.

•       Instructional visit to FBI Lab, Quantico, VA, February 19, 2008.  Mr. Weldon was invited to the FBI Lab to demonstrate innovative paper humidity techniques for the optimization of latent image development.  Mr. Weldon has received a patent on this technical advancement.

•       Invitation to attend and assist in the Workshop “Charred Documents – Collection and Handling” at the Mid-Atlantic Association of Forensic Scientists presented by FBI Lab, Quantico, personnel on April 29, 2008 at the Marshall University Forensic Program Crime Scene House.

•       Presented courses accredited by the State Bar of Texas on Forensic Document Examination in the Courtroom designed to meet the requirements for Continuing Legal Education for attorneys and legal assistants (1999, 2000).

•       Mr. Weldon has established a working relationship with the forensic program at the University of North Texas since 2004.  He continues to oversee research on paper humidification techniques and other document examination methods.
