Association of Forensic Document Examiners (AFDE) annual training includes: annual symposium training, technical presentations and laboratory research in the following years (1997-2019, 2022 and 2024):

Invitation to attend and assist in the Workshop “Charred Documents – Collection and Handling” at the Mid-Atlantic Association of Forensic Scientists presented in conjunction with FBI Lab, Quantico, personnel on April 29, 2008 at the Marshall University Forensic Program Crime Scene House.
Instructional visit to FBI Lab, Quantico, VA, February 19, 2008. Mr. Weldon was invited to the FBI Lab to demonstrate innovative paper humidity techniques for the optimization of latent image development. Mr. Weldon has received a patent on this technical advancement.
